Meet The Writers

Megan Forro

Megan Forro is a senior at Cliffside Park High School. In addition to writing, she is a part of the Drama Club and National Honor Society. She enjoys volunteering at animal shelters, traveling, and spending time with friends and family. She plans on majoring in psychology with the intent of becoming a clinical child psychologist.

Ata Erdal

Ata Erdal is a senior at Cliffside Park High School. Apart from being an author, a majority of his time is spent toward making his school an inclusive environment for all. He is the President of various clubs such as: The Debate Club, The Mock Trial Team, Student Council, Model UN Team, Multicultural Club, and National Honor Society. He aims to get into government and diplomacy.

ZUNAIRAH RIZWAN

Zunairah Rizwan is a senior at CPHS. In addition to being an author, she is a member of the STEM Academy and National Honor Society. Zunairah is the Co-President of the Environmental Club and holds other significant positions in clubs like Bergen Young Leaders for Kindness and Empathy, Community Outreach, Interact, and Debate. Outside of school, Zunairah enjoys volunteering, working with children at summer camp, and spending time with friends and family. She will also be interning at Holy Name Hospital as she wants to pursue a career in medicine.

Leila Abdel-Qader

Leila Abdel-Qader is currently a senior at CPHS. Leila takes part in and leads several community organizations within her school such as Bergen Young Leaders for Kindness and Empathy, National Honor Society, Debate Club, Interact Club, and Pre-Med Club. Outside of school, Leila enjoys volunteering at hospitals and plans to enter the medical field when she is older. In fact, she specifically is interested in the field of neuroscience.

Angy El-Dakkak

Angy is a senior at Cliffside Park High School. She is a thrower for the Track and Field team, as well as the secretary of the Debate Club. Angy regularly volunteers for the Cliffside Park Recreation Department. She wishes to study astronomy and, hopefully, one day, work at a professional space organization.

Anela Deljanin

Anela Deljanin is a senior at Cliffside Park High School. Along with writing, she plays soccer and participates in many extra curricular activities such as Debate Club, The Pre-Med club, STEM Academies, Student Council and National Honor Society. She hopes to major in dentistry.

Dunia Darwich

Dunia is a senior at Cliffside Park High School. She is a part of the National Honor Society and Pre-Med Club and she is also the co-founder and co-president of the CPHS Community Outreach Club. During her free time, she loves to read and spend time with her family. She hopes to pursue a degree in Pharmacy and become a Doctor of Pharmacy.

Wilbert Roca Alvarez

Wilbert is a current senior at Cliffside Park High School. Wilbert volunteers every weekend at his local church. He enjoys thinking of new ideas and acts of service. He wants to work hard and succeed for his parents. He hopes to have a business aimed to help those in need.

Grace Jerred-Scott

Grace Jerred Scott is a junior at Cliffside Park High School. She is a part of the Book Club, Interact Club, Debate Club, and Mock Trial. She enjoys writing and reading, volunteering in her local community, and learning about other languages and cultures. Grace plans on studying creative writing or English literature, with the intent of becoming an English literature professor and an author.

Nareg Kassardjian

Nareg Kassardjian is a senior at Cliffside Park High School. He spends most of his time on various hobbies such as: reading, cooking, hiking, and exercising. In school, he leads various clubs including the Debate Club, the Mock Trial Team, Model UN, Multicultural Club, and the National Honor Society. After High School, he plans on studying Psychology with a hope of pursuing Theology.
