THE HELPERS

The second collection of student memoirs published by Ramapo College of New Jersey, The Helpers is the collected stories of our most vulnerable young people, and the teachers, parents, friends, and strangers who came to their aid. Drawing from students across the entire state of New Jersey - and featuring 27 Newark students - these memoirs provide a window into moments of doubt and crisis, showcasing how teenagers have persevered and triumphed thanks to the help they receive from others. Simultaneously poignant and inspirational, these stories offer insight into the power of community, showing how just one person can make a positive difference in the lives of others.
